Vicky holds a PhD in Theatre and Drama from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is the Associate Dean of Student Success for the College of Arts and Media and Associate Professor of Theatre of the Department of Theatre and Musical Theatre at Sam Houston State University. Vicky teaches theatre history, dramatic theory, dramaturgy, physical devised performance, educational theatre, cultural theory, and directs productions at Sam Houston State University.

 

Her research explores representations of culture in performances in and around tourist locations and she has multiple publications on Disney parks and culture. She is a freelance dramaturg. She is the past Focus Group Rep for the Theatre History Focus Group at ATHE, was co-chair of Representation, Equity, and Diversity for KCACTF Region 6 from 2019-2023, and the 2025-2026 SHSU Administrative Faculty Fellow.
